Our History

Our HistoryThe Legacy of Services to others for Homme Homes began when Rev. E.J. Homme founded Homme's Orphan and Old Folks Home in 1882, under the sponsorship of the Lutheran Church of America. Since that time providing health care and residential housing services in a dignified and respectful fashion has become the cornerstone of services to our surrounding communities. This legacy has grown to include a broad array of independent and supportive housing services, residential services, and the latest in skilled and rehabilitation services. Homme Homes has served the needs of the elderly citizens of Northcentral Wisconsin since 1882 on its Wittenberg Campus and in the Wausau area on its Forest Park Village Campus since 1990.

We are proud to be celebrating over 125 years of caring for others!
